Fitchburg Retirement Board
The Fitchburg Retirement Board is 1 of 104 contributory retirement systems in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and is subject to the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 32.
The Fitchburg Retirement Board serves the public employees and retirees of the City of Fitchburg. There is a five member board which meets monthly. The Board is overseen by the Massachusetts Public Employee Retirement Administration Commission (PERAC).
NOTICE OF ELECTION:

Any member of the Retirement System (active or retired) may qualify as a candidate by filing with the City Clerk nomination papers containing the signatures and addresses of at least twenty (20) members of the system. Nomination papers are available and may be picked up anytime in the City Clerk’s Office, located on the First Floor of 718 Main Street City Hall, Fitchburg, MA 01420.
Nomination papers must be filed no later than 4:30 P.M., TUESDAY, JULY 27, 2021, in the City Clerk’s Office, on the First Floor of 718 Main Street City Hall, Fitchburg, MA 01420.
If there is more than one candidate nominated for this position, an official election will be held on FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 10, 2021
In the event an election is required, it will be conducted ENTIRELY BY MAIL and a packet containing further instruction will be provided to each member.
